Biocidal Product Regulation (BPR)

EU regulation on biocidal product n° 528/2012 (BPR), regulates their marketing authorisation and their use.

As part of this regulation, RRS offers to determinate the physico-chemical parameters of the active substance (AS), to develop and validate analytical method to follow the substances and to determine the ecotoxicity of the active substance and the final product.

Physico-chemical parameters of the AS.

  • Purity of the active substance determination
  • Identity of impurities determination
  • 5 batch analysis – profile determination
  • Melting point (OECD 102)
  • pH determination
  • Boiling point (OECD 103)
  • Relative density (OECD 109)
  • Water solubility (OECD 105)
  • Partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) (OECD 107)
  • Hydrolysis as a function of pH (OECD 111)

Method development and validation

RRS works in accordance with GLP quality system (area 8) and thus validate method in compliance with international norms and/or guidelines.
